Yumbe People Explode with proud and Joy of the Magnificent Mosque 

It only took less than three months to complete this magnificent mosque at Afaa village, Alilia Parish in Apo sub county which was finally handed over to the worshippers on Monday November 27, 2023.

 The demand for this new modern mosque which is the second biggest mosque in Yumbe district emerged shortly when Hon Avako Naima Gule Musa who took the Turkish NGO Care to conduct the first Qurbān at the area where she used that opportunity to lobby for the construction of a modern and magnificent mosque in the area.
Two important things happened during the colourful hand over of the  magnificent modern Mosque for prayers and Islamic knowledge.

One was the admiration of the modern and magnificent mosque with the other facilities and the second one was the admiration of Hon Avako Naima Gule Musa where people described her as a politician with full trust,  principle, courage, and foresight where her ideology for developing Yumbe and her passion for the people of Yumbe  is a great example to all contemporary leaders,” an old man  was heard saying it as he was taking his abolition at the facility.

Another woman in her late 49s said that the monumental achievements and the groundbreaking record of Hon Avako Naima Gule Musa speaks volumes of her selflessness and political dexterity to serve the district of Yumbe at all times and credited her for reshaping Yumbe district leadership.
An Imam who after taking abolition at the facility prayed that Hon Avako Naima Gule Musa shouid continue to wax stronger in good health and wisdom to represent Yumbe district and also urged her to reciprocate the confidence reposed in her by the people of Yumbe  by delivering the much needed good service.

The Imam told Today Africa News that the people of Yumbe are following  her  political trajectory and the  untainted commitment 
“It is gladsome to note that Avako's doggedness, diligence and focused political engagement across Yumbe district has shown her up as a worthy repsentative for the people of Yumbe in the parliament.
Another Sheik who declined to be named said Hon Avako has sought the leadership  not for herself, but as a plank to the delivery of developments to the entire district of Yumbe.
“My prayer is that the Almighty Allah that sees the good intentions of Avako's heart shall continue to grant her the grace, wisdom, and strength to bring these good plans and desires to reality.

The mosque has capacity to accommodate over 700 worshippers and speaking at the inauguration of the mosque, Hon Avako Naima Gule Musa  said: “This  mosque is built  purely for the service of Allah and I will continue to do my  best in the service of Almighty Allah and I pray Allah accepts it as act of ibadah. Amin,” she said.
Hon. Avako  remarked that the mosque a hub for spiritual and social activities will bring together Muslims in the worship of Allah and implored youths to start doing ibadah.

The colourful function was officiated by the  district khadi of Yumbe -Uganda Muslim Supreme council  Sheik Swaibu Alahayi Achiga and eminent Islamic scholars who is also  the deputy secretary General in-charge of finance and administration Hajj, Counsil Hon. Muhammad Ali Aluma journeyed himself from Kampala to come to attend the function.

Hon Avako praying in the new mosque asking for Allah's protection and to give her more wisdom to serve Yumbe people..

Other people who also attended the function included the  district councilors, business community, county sheiks and several Imans.
On the side of care the president of care Mehmet Sudlu who  flew from Trukey to come and handover the Mosque to the community himself promised to fly a team of doctors from Turkey to Yumbe in February 2024 for a free medical camp in Yumbe district.
Other care members that accompanied him were Recep Bilge board of care , Emre Uganda coordinator and Ismael Nassur care coordinator West Nile.
Hon..Avako concluded her 19 minutes speech with cal on the worshippers to use the masjid to foster unity of Muslims in the area.
