Pader District Set to Hold its Cultural Festival

Pader district in Northern Uganda is set to hold its first ever cultural festival come October 2023. The new initiative which aims at boosting domestic tourism in Acholi is being spearheaded by Awii Incorporation in partnership with Amah tours and Travel Company limited and Lapaya Resort .
The festival will take place on October 7th-9th, 2023 at Lapaya Resort, Aruu falls in Angagura sub-county, Pader district with a diversity of artists, display of Acholi traditional regalia, traditional dancers and other activities such as zip lining, water tubing, nature walks among others.
Emmanuel Okello, operational manager at Awii Incorporation says the festival is the first of its kind where they will have a musical festival that will have a lineup of among others three of the biggest artists in northern Uganda, live band, 10 traditional dancers from top dance troupes and traditional food exhibitions as well as art and craft.
