South African AAA travel agent is in Uganda

South African based travel agent together with the other European tourists are in Uganda inspecting hotels, and other tourist sites for tourism investment in Uganda.
On July 9, 2023 they visited Confidence Africa travel and tour guest house at Buyala where they held investment discussions before visiting Murchisons National park, now they are in Queen Elizabeth.

Today Africa News present  in the investment discussions additionally  interviewed, Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg of AAA travels, a local South Africa based agent that connects and sends tourists around African countries.

Osman Draga is my name and am a tourist journalist writing with Today Africa News, your most welcome to Uganda!

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg: Oh! Thank you Mr. Osman!

Osman Draga: We pride ourselves as a hospitable country and I hope you have found it very lovely!

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg: Oh yeah!  Very lovely country indeed and I have just arrived at the airport and don't know much yet!

Osman Draga: Right!  I know you have heard much about Uganda which gave you reason to visit it, what stimulates can you make and also your purpose of visiting the country?

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg: Ok!  Quite a lot  being in tourism,  we have being sending people to South Africa, Malawi, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Ethiopia, and also Kenya and Tanzania but Uganda was one of the countries  that we have been missing in terms of understanding how people live and the culture of the country because tourism is a way to get to know the culture and people which is something we need to know more a little in this world.

Osman Draga: Now as tourist expert what do you say about Uganda's tourism and why?

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg: Tourism in general, I think is at the beginning because not a lot of people know about Uganda, so therefore not a lot of people ask to come to Uganda.
If you sell Uganda as a product, you need to make it known, that is why you (Osman) need to write about Uganda so that people can read about the country and come to Uganda.
If you watch news from televisions, or other media all what you see about Africa is problems in Europe,  but it's not true, so people need to visit countries in order to understand how do people live and get more receptive with cultures of  other countries which is the reason why we always send people to less known countries and we have come to Uganda to know the country such that as local travel agent in South Africa we can send people to Uganda like sending to other less known countries.

Osman Draga: Ok!  Pertaining to your assumption that Uganda is less known, what then do you think is needed to strengthen tourism in Uganda such that the country is known and then  competes at global level?

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg:  Promotion is key, like I said you writing about Uganda is important because people can read and get to understand Uganda and eventually start coming to Uganda. Social media is the best and quickest way  to promote Uganda.

Osman Draga: Do you then think the tourism sector  in Uganda has potential to be fully recognized?

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg:  Oh yes! South Africa was like that very little, now it has very big tourism industry. If we have good prices, good roads, good hotels and friendly environment people will feel good and talk about the place and come back. 

Osman Draga: Anything you noticed with Confidence Africa travel and tour and also your investment advice in conclusion?

Germaine Jaap Sreven kreefrenberg:  Oh yeah!, We are very excited, he started from scratch but he has potential to grow, we also started from scratch but we are now big. There's nothing difficulty in tourism business, listen to the clients advice because tourism is about persons, places and culture and also choosing hotels correctly.
