Turkish  Launches  Ottoman FC in Yumbe

As an easier way to reconnect back to the people of Aringa in Yumbe district, Turkish nationals have decided to form a  football team named as Ottoman Sports club which was officially launched on Tuesday September 19, 2023 at Yumbe town council.

Present at the official launch was the Yumbe district woman Member of Parliament Hon. Avako Naima Gule Musa together with several district officials.
Mr. Emre Olgay Serbetcioglu who is the country Director told Today AfricaNews that they are coming back home through football to reconnect the people of Aringa with the Ottoman empire which existed several centuries ago a
Emre Olgay: "We formed the team to reconnect the bond with the people of Aringa and that's the reason why the club is named Ottoman Sports club', he told Today AfricaNews.

The club was fully equipped with brand new uniforms and playing boots, and  the club will receive its support direct from Turkey.
Soon or later the club will travel to Turkey to play friendly matches with several clubs in Turkey an aim of advertising the players at international level.
 Ismail Nasur who works with Turkish organization said the target is also to help the team become professional 
Many football fanatics in Yumbe who spoke to Today AfricaNews are optimistic of the development hoping that it will impact positively and change the narrative of sports in West Nile region .
