ITALIAN DELEGATION VISISTS GHANAIN EUROPEAN CENTER

The Director of Italians Abroad and Migration Policies, Luigi Vignali, together with the Italian Ambassador to Ghana and Togo, Daniela d’Orlandi, and the Deputy Head of the European Union in Ghana, Jonas Claes visited the Ghanaian-European Centre  last Friday to learn more about the Centre’s work with regards to regular migration and labour mobility to Europe and also explore how Italy can benefit from services of the Centre. 
The delegation held bilateral talks with the management of the Ghanain -European Centre and its partners where the  Head of the centre, Mr. Andreas Berding, presented the Centre’s activities and achievements since its inception in 2017 and also stressed regular and regional migration advisory services as the focus of the Centre in its current phase, with funding support from the European Union.
The Deputy Head of Cooperation at the German Embassy, Ms. Ramona Simon, emphasised the significance of the visit as the Ghanain -European Centre expands its services to the broader European Union (EU )member states.
Present at the meeting were the Programme Officer at the EU Delegation to Ghana, Ms. Marta Brignone, the Chief Labour Officer of the Labour Department, Braimah Ibrahim Dawuda and officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations.
